Most Demanded Smart Phones 2021

The biggest dog of smartphones is Apple. Interestingly, even though they launched their first completely new model iPhone in 8 years in September of 2020, their sales figures for the launch are definitely not as impressive as those of Samsung.arir8h

The Galaxy S21 has been in general online pre-sale stores since late January but is expected to release officially on March 8th. Their figures for the launch of the S21 are expected to only be about half of that of the iPhone 12 series, which broke new records for Samsung when it sold 75 million units in the first quarter after the S20 series actually came.

Their pricing in comparison to the iPhone 12 is also dramatically lower, which stands to reason. Their sales data shows that Apple’s iPhone 12 series range in price starting at $699. The Galaxy S21 will start at $699. So the S21 family price will be much less than the iPhone range, which is for good and bad reasons.

The S21 series will primarily compete with the iPhone 12 series, however, the S21 series’ sales figures for the first quarter of 2020 are expected to prove to be slightly more impressive than the iPhone range. Considering that the S21 range’s price is almost half the price of the iPhone range’s price, this makes the price drop less of a shock.

However, we still have a clear gap between the S21 range and the iPhone range. The iGo Pro Mobile SE price, for example, was launched in the first quarter of 2020 for $499 and the iPhone SE was launched around the same time for $599. But the iGo Pro MobileSE price has risen from just $499 to $699 when the iPhone SE got additional features like a 4k display, wireless charging, a better camera, double warranty, year coverage, and support for the recently announced not-so-old Thunderbolt 4 support, and additional features like a large battery and better camera performance.

This pricing gap can be solved with the iGo Pro 7, which was launched in late November 2020 for $549. The S21 range started out at $799 and the iPad Air started out at $799, which means that the S21 range’s price will increase with the additional components that they’re including in their range, which will be true to the number of products packed inside.

We also have to consider the Samsung Galaxy Note series. The Galaxy Note20 series launched in May 2020 for $699 and the Galaxy Note20 was the model that moved right into the iPhone range. However, the price of the line of Note20 and Note20 Plus took quite a considerable leap to what we can expect from the S21 range.

The first generations of the iPhones and the Galaxy Notes don’t have wireless charging, an OLED display, or a double warranty, plus they didn’t have the fastest 64-bit processor either. However, we have all of these features on the S21 range, for slightly less than half the price of what Apple charged for their ranges.

There are no prices for the iPhone, iPhone 13, or iPad models with wireless charging and triple warranty support. However, we don’t expect that Samsung will increase the price of their flagship device to avoid a price rise with the S21 series.

The current biggest problem for Apple is their current market performance. As soon as the iPhone SE came out, Samsung swooped ahead and secured the top position with their Galaxy S20 series. Samsung has outpaced Apple by just over 1%. Apple has more cash and a more exclusive flagship model. Therefore, it has more to lose from a lower sales revenue. This is why we don’t expect any drastic changes to the standard prices of the iPhone range and we don’t expect to see a price change for the 12 series.

Samsung has a lot of other brands and a larger lineup of brands on the market compared to Apple, which makes it a much easier target to protect. But it’s easy to become complacent when Apple is your sole competitor.

We’re expecting Samsung’s number of sales to improve in all product ranges in the coming months. However, Apple’s numbers have been increasing in all product ranges in the recent months of 2020. Apple is a well-established brand that is well established in their market and we expect that Samsung will have a much easier time catching up in 2021.
